In a word- WOW! The ETs not only seemed to know EVERYTHING, but they explained it very clearly. The resources we were taught are cutting edge. This was no How-to-Email tech camp. With this information, we teachers can truly prepare our students to lead the future. As a result of this camp, I have ideas and suggestions on how to use what I have learned.
Today was another jam packed day. I admitted to Linda that I was absolutely sure that I would know about most of the things they would show us. Boy was I wrong. Every single thing we have done was either brand new to me or gave me more information I ever knew. I feel fortunate to have the ETs. They are knowlegable and we can all feel they are excited about what they do. I am most looking forward to helping my older students generate their own blogs. I doubt there is a student that could resist building their own blog.
I know, I know. The idea behind My Space is good. Your friends and comrades can learn more about you, your family, your music, and even your favorite games. But you don’t feel comfortable sharing your space on the web with your middle schooler and their friends. Get grouped with other people in your profession at Linked In. Still not sure you want to do this? Read this article from New York Times At Social Site, Only the Businesslike Need Apply. Want to see an example. I am working on mine. Come to my professional space at Linked In.
I have been looking for a site with free audio books and this is it. From Frederick Douglass to the Gettysburg Address to Alice and Wonderland, this site has much to offer. Check this out.
